Introduction

The Diploma in Engineering is a 3-year technical education program designed to provide foundational knowledge and practical skills in engineering. It is ideal for students who have completed Class 10th (Matriculation) and are looking to start a career in technology and industry at an early stage.

About Bachelor of Laws

The admission to the various Diploma level Courses shall be done through web based online counselling. Student should have passed 10th standard/SSC examination. Admission to Diploma Level Engineering courses shall be made on the basis of relative merit of qualifying examination.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination with Physics/ Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ informatics Practice/ Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture Engineering Graphics Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship (as per table 8.4 of Approval Process Hand book 2024-25 to 2026-27) Or 10th along with 2 years ITI.

Shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Courses in any branch of Engineering and Technology

In case the seats remaining unfilled on the basis of eligibility criteria mentioned above, shall be filled on the basis of inter-se-merit of any of the following examination.

10+2 vocational examination in relevant various branches from a Board recognized & established by Central/State Government through legislation.
Two years Certificate Course after 10th from Sant Longowal Institute of Engg. And Technology, Longowal.
Two years Certificate Course after 10th in Skill Technician (Machinist), Skill Technician (Machine Maintenance) & Quality Assurance Inspector from R&D Centre for Bicycle & Sewing Machine, Ludhiana.
3 Years AICTE approved Diploma in Engineering of any other branch from any recognized Board (As per Punjab Govt. notification No. TECH-TE-2013/5/2021- 4TE2/1061 dated 28-10-2021).

eligibility and duration

The curriculum is a balance of theoretical concepts and hands-on training, with a strong focus on industry-relevant skills and applied learning.

Diploma engineering is a great stepping stone for both employment and further studies.

Upon completion, students can directly enter the workforce as junior engineers or pursue B.Tech through Lateral Entry (admission to 2nd year).
